In many Canadian mid-sized cities, parents are seeking structured and serious Quran classes, but cannot find any.

Children are growing up without learning Quran or iman (faith).

It's not rare to meet youth who have left Islam, who never got proper Islamic education.

Boys and girls who go to Kumon from age 6, but have hardly ever entered the masjid.

Because they didn't have one near their house.

Boys and girls at 15-20 years of age who don't know what the Quran is saying.

What their Creator is lovingly telling them.

Boys and girls who were never taught how to pray properly.

Whose only source of knowledge is short snippets from social media.

Some of them genuinely want to learn the Qur'an.

They search for Islamic education on their own.

They turn to what is available, often online, and take what they can from it.

But what they find is limited.

Information alone does not shape a person.

What is missing is an environment.

The kind of environment the Prophet ﷺ built for the Companions.

A space centered on the Qur'an.

On structured teaching and learning.

On remembrance of Allah.

On companionship that strengthens faith.

It is that environment which transforms hearts.

And it is that environment many of them do not have.

This is what they are missing.

Not more information from a screen in their bedroom.

This is why we launched Centre Zackaria.

“Who is it that will loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?”

Some say its the parents fault.

They should teach their children at home.

Yes, home education is necessary.

But some are working all day just to survive.

To give their children the best future they can.

Some parents we know cry thinking about this responsibility.

Worried about their kids' future.

Some have opened up and expressed, that deep down, they wonder: are they failing to teach their children the religion properly.

And they lose sleep over that.

They want their children to succeed in this world.

They also want them to succeed in the next.

Many parents lie awake at night wondering:

Have I done enough?

Have I given my child what they need to remain firm?
